Dr. Madhav Kamat

Dr. Madhav Kamat brings more than 43 years of experience in pharmaceutical product and process development, encompassing both small-molecule and biological drug products. His extensive experience includes more than 20 commercial products, including nine biologicals, as well as numerous development and clinical-stage products.

His areas of expertise span lyophilization technology, sterile product development and manufacturing, nano- and microsuspensions, emulsions, ophthalmics, and regulatory support.

Dr. Kamat spent approximately 25 years with major U.S. pharmaceutical companies, including Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) and Johnson & Johnson (J&J), where he held senior positions focused on injectable product and process development.

Since 2012, Dr. Kamat has served as the Founder and CEO of Kamat Pharmatech LLC, a pharmaceutical development company based in North Brunswick, New Jersey.

In recent years, he has also contributed to the design and execution of three isolator-based, lyophilization-capable injectable manufacturing facilities in the United States.

Dr. Kamat is also actively involved in lyophilization education and training in the United States, India, and internationally.
